Description: Survivor Barrel Pinotage 2021 is a dry red wine obtained from the Pinotage grape variety of the same name 100%.
The grapes are sourced from low yielding, bush vine vineyards on the dark red Oakleaf and Hutton soils located in Swartland. The age of the vineyard is 22 years. The fermentation lasted 6 days, and the temperature reached a maximum of 26°C. The grapes were pressed at 4°. The wine underwent MLF in 300L French oak casks of which 20% were new and the remainder 2nd and 3rd bottlings, then aged for 18 months before being racked.
