Description
A Merlot from Podrum Madžić, a small family winery in Selevac near Smederevska Palanka, in Šumadija. The winery was founded in 2008 on the family estate, inspired by a Merlot vine the owner's grandfather planted in 1969. The grapes are grown almost organically, and the wine is made the traditional way, unfiltered, and aged for 24 months in barrels.
Deep ruby in colour, with aromas of ripe berries – blueberry, raspberry and blackcurrant – and gentle spice. Lovely with red meat, mature cheeses and dark chocolate.
