Jameson whiskey is an Irish triple-distilled whiskey that is still produced according to a traditional recipe from 1780. The triple distillation process used during production makes Jameson whiskey incredibly smooth and drinkable, which also sets it apart from the rest. After distillation, the whiskey is stored in bourbon and sherry casks, which give Jameson whiskey aromas of roasted wood, vanilla and sweet sherry. One of the things that makes Jameson whiskey special is that a mixture of malted and unmalted barley is used for whiskey production, as well as water from the Dangurney River that flows through the distillery.
